On a personal note, I have tinnitus and have had it a while. However, I manage to keep it at bay most of the time by using some of the natural therapies promoted on this site. I have watched people close to me go through years of seeking relief, including having a cochlear implant (which did no good). I believe that by understanding what type of tinnitus one has, pinpointing some probable causes and trying appropriate therapies that one has the best chance of finding relief if not a cure for tinnitus.
